The Course
For 2025 you will be starting at the Watson Porter Pavilion and travel counter-clockwise on the beautiful lake trail which
offers a wide variety of terrain from dirt, pine needles, pavement, mud, water, roots, gravel, rocks & grass on both wide and single track.
This is a fairly flat course with elevation changes at a maximum of 20 metres in any single section and hills offering up to 5% grade.
There are small sections categorized as Black Diamonds which include some quick turns and obstacles you can either go over or around.
There are two water crossings...both with bridges.

There are a total of five (5) aid stations on course.
Four (4) of these aid stations are available to ALL participants.
The fifth aid station is for 50k participants only and is located directly behind the Pavilion.
Aid stations are approximately every 4 to 6k.
They will feature sweet & salty snacks as well as a water and Gatorade.
In an effort to be environmentally friendly, Phoenix Trail Races is a cupless event.
Please ensure on race day you bring a collapsible cup, water waist pack, or hydration vest on your run.
We will have pitchers of water and electrolyte at each aid station ready to pour.
Have questions about this? Contact us. We are more than happy to clarify.
